CRUSHERS RETURN HOME FOR SIX-GAME HOMESTAND

AVON, Ohio - The Lake Erie Crushers open a six-game homestand full of exciting promotions on Friday, June 11 at All Pro Freight Stadium.

Things get started at 7:05 p.m. Friday for the first of three games against the Gateway Grizzlies with a spectacular post-game fireworks display. In addition, the Crushers will don tie-dyed jerseys to celebrate retro night and after the game, the jerseys will be auctioned to benefit the Crushers Cares, the newly-formed non-profit arm of the team.

CRUSHERS HIT FOUR HOMERS BUT FALL IN SLUGFEST AT RIVER CITY

O'FALLON, Mo. - The Lake Erie Crushers connected on four homers but were outslugged by the River City Rascals 8-6 in a back and forth contest on Wednesday.

Lee Huggins connected on a two-run homer over the fence in left-center to spot the Crushers a 2-0 lead in the top of the second. Travis Vetters was along for the ride after reaching on an infield single.

CRUSHERS DOUBLE UP RASCALS

O'FALLON, Mo. - The Lake Erie Crushers opened a three-game series with the River City Rascals by doubling up the hosts 4-2.

The Crushers opened the scoring in the top of the third inning. Dom Duggan posted an infield single with one out and moved to second on a throwing error by the catcher. Duggan stole third and crossed the plate when Jodam Rivera singled past the diving River City first baseman. Rivera stole second and was later thrown out at the plate attempting to score on a single off the bat of Andrew Davis.

GRIZZLIES HOMER PAST CRUSHERS AGAIN

SAUGET, Ill. - The Lake Erie Crushers were held to just three hits as Gateway established a handful of records in a 25-1 rout on Sunday night.

For the second time in the series, Gateway forced the Crushers into the bullpen in the first inning as Mike Raymond struggled with his control in the first inning. The Grizzlies took advantage of four walks from Raymond and one from reliever Jeff Cinadr to open a 9-0 lead. Toby Davis connected on a two-run homer in the second to make it an 11-0 advantage for the Grizzlies.
